Backstage Monthly Recap — February in Review
Hello, Backstagers!
We’re back with another monthly recap and more exciting news.
February has been an amazing month for the team. We’ve met development milestones and have been making the final arrangements for our IDO launch. Backstage continues focusing on attracting the right partners and have signed several important partnerships throughout the month.
As always, nothing comes without great effort and there is still much work to be done. The support from the community has been crucial in keeping the momentum of the project. We want to thank you all for the great support.
Now, let’s cover what happened in February and discuss what the future holds.
Backstage BiKoS Wallet Review
Early this month, we released an article where we reviewed our Crypto POS Wallet — now called the BiKoS Wallet. The BiKoS wallet is a crucial and important part of our ecosystem as it allows users to safely store and use their BKS tokens.
Our team firmly believes the BiKoS Wallet will be an absolute gamechanger for the events and entertainment industry, as it was built to simplify operations, facilitate payments, drive investment, and ensure liquidity in the ecosystem.
Given that it is one of the three main components that puts our ecosystem to work, we thought it was important to deliver a more in-depth review. The review will give you a better understanding of what it is, how it works and its function within the Backstage ecosystem.
Backstage Staking & LP Staking Review
We also released a detailed review on staking and LP staking on the Backstage platform.
Backstage token holders can farm their tokens to earn passive income. With this, they help provide liquidity for the ecosystem while earning $BKS. Those $BKS rewards can be converted into fiat or re-injected into the ecosystem to generate even higher rewards.
Users will find two types of staking on the Backstage platform:
- Staking: Simple and straightforward stacking. Users lock their BKS and get rewarded for helping to confirm transactions.
- LP Staking: Users farm a token pair (50% BKS; 50% another token). They get rewards in the form of BKS. This option does carry more risk, as it may result in an impermanent loss (explanation here).
Big Partnership Deals
In February, Backstage announced new partnerships with key players in the industry. These partnerships not only offer revenue opportunities for Backstage, but also onboard new users into our community.
Most importantly, these partnerships are helping us drive adoption of Backstage and fulfill our mission of bringing the crypto revolution to the events industry,
Backstage Partners with Ahau Collection, Making a Splash in North America
Backstage announced a partnership with Ahau Collection. Ahau Collection is an exclusive hotel group specializing in offering guests from all over the world an exquisite and alternative way of getting to know Tulum and the Mexican Caribbean coast.
With this partnership, Ahau Collection will be able to leverage Backstage’s platform for its own exclusive campaigns, while Backstage can boost awareness and introduce millions of travelers to the STAGE” platform.
Backstage Partners with GotBit to Accelerate Growth
Backstage announced it was partnering up with GotBit. GotBit is a premiere crypto consulting firm and incubator for blockchain startups.
This partnership will ensure that Backstage can benefit from all the crypto services, experience and knowledge it can get from GotBit. In return, GotBit will offer its clients full access to Backstage’s NFT technology and marketplace, blockchain-powered community platform, BiKoS crypto wallet, and metaverse infrastructure.
Zingara and Backstage Partner to Bring Crypto to the Fashion World
Backstage announced it was joining forces with Zingara. Zingara is a fashion store specializing in exclusive and original collections of high-quality beachwear. They serve customers across Mexico, the USA, South America, Europe and elsewhere.
This partnership will help Backstage get into the fashion world, while allowing Zingara to harness the immense potential of the Backstage platform.
Entertix taps Backstage’s NFT Ticketing Technology for Events in Romania
Backstage also signed a partnership with Entertix — the leading ticket provider for concerts, festivals, theatre, and other events in Romania.
The partnership is a win-win for both companies. While Entertix will be able to use a whole set of new features, such as the ability to code in exclusive privileges into tickets, upsell merchandise and offer full access to the Stage platform, Backstage will have an entry point into the Romanian and Eastern European market.
Q1 Goals & What’s Coming in March
Everything is going according to plan and some major milestones have already been reached. Website version 2.0 is already released. The site is clean, easily navigable and perfectly displays the Backstage platform.
We now have our eyes set on the next developments:
- BKS marketplace launch
- NFT ticketing integration
- Public IDO
January was a very fruitful month and February has followed the same path. We expect the rest of Q1 will equally be amazing.
Stay tuned — the crypto revolution in the events industry is well underway.
